Larch Floor Installation

Wall paneling is pretty much done, and installation of the floorboards started this week. Larch wood floorboards of varying width are being installed over the radiant floor heat tubes and plywood matrix.

This is a photo of the guest bedroom floor, which was the first to be finished.

Interior Paneling Work Continues

Cypress wood paneling is being installed on the interior frame walls, dormer frames, and other non-log wall areas inside the cabin. This is a shot of the wall near the front door . . . you can see the jacket closet in the middle.

Another View of the Panels

Here is a shot showing what the solar PV panels look like on the cabin.

Solar Panels

Fourteen 225 Watt solar photo-voltaic (PV) panels were installed by Namaste Solar on the south-facing roof of the cabin this week. Final hookup, inspection and meter installation are still to come in the next few weeks. These panels should generate enough electricity throughout the year to cover the power needs for the times we are at the cabin.

Door Handles

The door hardware finally arrived, so we now have handles and locks on all the cabin doors. This particular picture is of the exterior utility room door.
